FAQ

  • How much is a session?

A session is $150 per child. Each child requires their own booking.
The session is 15 minutes and a minimum of 10 images.

  • Is there a discount for siblings?

A 10% discount is offered for 3+ siblings.

  • Will you photograph siblings together?

I like to photograph siblings together after their individual portraits, however, I cannot guarantee group cooperation. Sometimes it’s magic, and sometimes it doesn’t work out.

  • Do you photograph families?

I don’t offer family portraits during the mini sessions.
Please don’t ask to capture family photos during the session. I am happy to arrange family portraits on a day where I can give proper time and attention to the whole family.

  • Do you offer prints?

Yes! A price and order list can be sent to you upon request.

  • What is your cancelation policy?

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required upon each booking. Deposits may only be refunded within 24 hours of booking.
If you need to reschedule your session, please give me at least 1 week notice so I have an opportunity to fill the spot.
Without 1 week notice, deposits are non-transferable unless there are extenuating circumstances (illness, family emergency, etc.)

  • What age do you photograph?

There is no age limit, however, it is required that babies are able to sit up unassisted, or hold themselves sturdy in a bumbo chair. (Please provide your own.)

  • When and how will I receive my images?

Galleries are sent out approximately 3-4 weeks after your session date. You will receive an email with a link to access your downloadable online gallery.

  • Are you able to edit out scratches, etc?

I will remove any temporary imperfections such as bruises, scratches/scabs, etc. The timing always seems right for children to injure themselves when parents have photos scheduled!
If there is swelling or anything questionable, please feel free to send me a photo so I can assess if we need to reschedule or move forward with the session.

  • How do I prepare for the session

    This is an important point!

Dress your child in plain and simple clothing so that nothing distracts from their expression natural personality. (Try to avoid ruffles, collars, fancy sleeves, logos or patterns.
I recommend either a plain black or white t-shirt or long sleeve shirt. (Please look at my portfolio to see if you prefer white or black shirts. To allow for best contrast, I recommend staying away from grey or mid-toned shirts.)

Make sure your childs face is clean, free of crumbs and boogies. Moisturize their face and arms and hands a day before the session.

Keep hair as natural/simple as possible with no accessories. (I don’t mind ponytails or braids as long as the hair band is minimal/black.)

Remove chipped nail polish and temporary tattoos.

  • What should I do during the session?

While your child is being photographed, it is up to you and them if you’d like to be close by, or step away while they express themselves.
The main thing is to allow me to build rapport with your child, capturing their attention and focus and allowing them to be comfortable.
With younger children and “runners” we can count on it being a bit of a team effort and a bit of a work out!
I shoot many frames to get a variety of and the best expressions and images. So let them do their thing!
